Associate Project Manager - Fire Alarm and Security

Key Responsibilities

  • Aid Project Managers in project administration tasks such as takeoffs, estimates, system design, and documentation.
  • Support financial management by assisting with budgeting, cost tracking, invoice review, and financial reporting.
  • Coordinate procurement and material management, including scheduling, tracking deliveries, and resolving issues.
  • Assist in scheduling and coordination, attending meetings, documenting actions, and monitoring project progress.
  • Provide field support, conduct site visits, assist with installations, and collaborate with field personnel.
  • Maintain client relationships, respond to inquiries, and support project managers during client interactions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and quality control standards, including permitting, inspections, and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent industry experience may be considered.
  • 1–5 years of experience in construction, security, or electrical contracting, project coordination, or related field.
  • Knowledge of commercial, industrial, or institutional electrical construction projects preferred.
  • CAD experience will be beneficial.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and project management principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with project management software such as Procore, Viewpoint, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to visit active construction sites and navigate uneven terrain.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must comply with all safety requirements, including PPE usage.
