Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Planning & Monitoring: Help establish what is to be done on a week-to-week basis, when, and by whom
- Analyze and forecast factors that affect results to maximize efficiency
- Develop appropriate programs, strategies, and supervision
- Take responsibility for the scheduling process on assigned projects
- Learn and use estimating information to manage labor and material costs effectively
- Share manpower, resources, and tools across branches as needed
- Assist and work with Project Managers to manage resources, tooling, and permits as needed
- Billing & Procurement Management: Will learn the procurement process and be responsible for ordering materials on assigned projects
- Gain understanding of the collection and billing process; take responsibility for it on assigned projects
- Manage billings
- Project Execution & Operations: Understand and assist in bidding jobs (including estimates, proposal specifications, drawings, and takeoff information)
- Manage projects to deliver on customer requirements of scope, timeline, and budget
- Assume responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials & equipment, and contractual performance of the project
- Customer Satisfaction & Professional Development: Work with Project Managers to learn how to develop and maintain relationships with customers; ensure high quality service is provided to guarantee sales
- Take prompt action to resolve any customer complaints
- Always be growing and improving both yourself and your entire team
- Safety/Hazard Recognition & Elimination: Pre-plan and identify the methods to eliminate hazards daily by work task
- Execute skill in observing habits and hazards of others and bringing it to their attention
- Uphold safety as the most important goal of our company
- Support goal of achieving zero accidents
- Promote and encourage open communication between field and office regarding all safety concerns, suggestions, improvements, and PPE needed
- Obtain safety training as expected by all company personnel
Qualifications And Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management/Sciences, Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Building Science, etc.), or related
- Prior experience in contracting, engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred
- Knowledge and experience with the electrical trade
- Physical Requirements: Office and site environments requiring sitting and standing. Travel to various work sites is essential, exposing employees to outdoor elements, noise, and the need to stand and walk.
