About the role

Fanatics Collectibles is seeking an Associate Project Manager (APM) to join its project management organization. This role is critical to delivering 50-75 new products to market annually, ensuring on-time delivery and high standards. We look for strong leaders with a problem-solving mindset, disciplined execution, and the ability to thrive in complex settings with multiple stakeholders. A passion for sports and the collectibles ecosystem is a plus.

The APM will report to the Director of Project Management (E-Commerce) and collaborate with teams domestically and internationally. The role is organized within a sports vertical.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end ownership: Contribute to the success and on-time delivery of a complex global portfolio encompassing over 75 programs annually, focusing on high-value assets.
  • Vendor Management: Act as a liaison between Fanatics Collectibles and vendors/partners. Schedule regular check-ins and hold all parties accountable for staying on task and on time.
  • Delivery roadmap: Align and distribute a comprehensive timeline of milestones across the product lifecycle, both internally and with external partners.
  • Performance management: Track and manage the status of products in the portfolio, ensuring efficient transitions between departments and vendors.
  • Problem-solving: Proactively identify bottlenecks and shifting priorities, convening stakeholders to resolve issues. Collaborate with subject matter experts on escalations and complex problems.
  • Escalation: Identify potential issues and prepare materials for escalation when needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience working in or managing a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Some travel may be required.

  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence stakeholders across complex organizations.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, particularly in multi-tasking and prioritizing across a complex portfolio.
  • Data proficiency, adept at interpreting data from multiple touchpoints to identify warning signs and predict long-term trends.
  • Strategic judgment to balance competing demands, allocate resources, and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Ability to remain cool under pressure when dealing with unanticipated changes or last-minute shifts.
  • Relentless focus on delivery and a "run through walls" attitude toward execution.

Pay

The salary range for this role in New York City is $77,000 - $90,000 USD (base pay only, excluding short-term or long-term incentive compensation). The range may vary based on location, experience, qualifications, and training.
