Associate Project Manager

About the role

This position is based in our Minneapolis, MN office. The Electrical Service Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple projects of varying sizes and complexities from start to finish, including proposals, bids, project design, quality control, job scheduling, problem resolution, job completion, coordination, communication, client satisfaction activities and other related duties, in alignment with all Company policies, procedures, key objectives and regulations. This position assists or manages job estimating, project budgets, projections and contracts, job solicitation and project negotiations, and may also be responsible for training, mentoring, and providing work direction to other project team members.

Responsibilities

• Oversee total construction and design effort (if applicable) to ensure project is constructed in accordance with project scope, budget and timeline.
• Act as a liaison to coordinate communication between both internal and external members on the project including, but not limited to: Clients, General Contractors, Subcontractors, Superintendents, General Foremen, and union officials.
• Authorize and/or approve all project staff transactions including choice of superintendent, general foremen, foremen and staff volume.
• Provide directions for planning, scheduling and any applicable engineering functions.
• Participate in estimating projects and writing bid proposals.
• Review and approve purchase requisitions, payment approvals; send invoices and change order requests.
• Aids in the implementation/interpretation of corporate safety programs and ensures OSHA guidelines are followed.
• Ensure that all company, client, and project policies, procedures, and standards are adhered to and interpret the policies.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of labor agreements and standards specific to projects.

Requirements

• Associates degree or equivalent in job experience a plus.
• Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Outstanding interpersonal and team leadership skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ensures maximum quality of work throughout the lifecycle of the project.
• Comfortable managing multiple projects at one time.
• Experience with Bluebeam Revu a plus.

• Working knowledge of electrical construction.
• Experienced in construction.
