About the role

This position involves ongoing credit monitoring for a portfolio of project finance borrowers, ensuring compliance with credit policies and identifying potential credit issues early. You will analyze amendment, consent, and waiver requests, assess credit impact, and prepare recommendations for approval. The role includes preparing periodic credit reviews, collaborating with stakeholders to manage consent processes, and supporting risk mitigation strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ongoing credit monitoring for a portfolio of project finance borrowers, ensuring compliance with credit policies.
  • Identify potential credit issues early by continuously reviewing portfolio performance and risk indicators.
  • Analyze amendment, consent, and waiver requests, assess credit impact, and prepare recommendations for credit approval.
  • Prepare periodic credit reviews and maintain up-to-date reporting on portfolio quality.
  • Collaborate with borrowers, legal counsel, engineers, and consultants to manage consent processes and negotiate changes to financing documentation.
  • Monitor and report on portfolio performance against established criteria, recommending rating or grading adjustments where appropriate.
  • Support risk mitigation through counterparty credit analysis and strategies to reduce credit exposure.
  • Ensure accurate KYC information and maintain required compliance documentation for all borrowers.
  • Prepare credit applications and internal memos presenting well-structured arguments and recommended actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field plus 2 years of experience.
  • Experience must include:
    • Financial statement analysis capabilities;
    • Financial modeling proficiency;
    • Understanding of legal agreements and contractual documentation;
    • Expertise in credit risk assessment and evaluation;
    • Analytical writing skills;
    • Ability to interpret engineering studies and technical reports.
  • The required skills do not need to be maintained over the full term of required experience.

Pay

The anticipated salary range for this role is between $85,000 and $150,000. The specific salary offered will be based on individual qualifications, experience, and an analysis of current compensation in the applicant’s geography and market for similar roles. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award.
