Associate Program Director
Volunteers of America–Greater New York (VOA–Greater New York) is a leading anti-poverty organization serving neighbors in need across New York City, Northern New Jersey, and Westchester. Through 70+ programs, we support over 35,000 adults and children each year, including individuals experiencing homelessness, survivors of domestic violence, youth aging out of foster care, veterans, seniors, and children with developmental delays.
About the role
The Associate Program Director manages the case management and specialized support service delivery system for clients as well as establishing community linkages to enhance services. In the absence of the Program Director, assumes the responsibilities of that position. This role is based at the Bushwick Family Residence, a transitional family shelter where residents learn essential skills that enable them to meet the challenges of everyday life.
Responsibilities
- Manage program personnel in case management and support areas.
- Establish and maintain program delivery models.
- Develop and maintain linkages with other service agencies, generic community resources, and state/city liaisons.
- Ensure that regulations and quality assurance indicators are achieved.
- Maintain client records in a professional and confidential manner.
- Participate in the general management of the facility or program.
- Supervise assigned staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field.
- Five years’ experience, including two years in a supervisory role.
