Associate Program Director
Volunteers of America–Greater New York (VOA–Greater New York) is a leading anti-poverty organization serving neighbors in need across New York City, Northern New Jersey, and Westchester. Through 70+ programs, we support over 35,000 adults and children each year, including individuals experiencing homelessness, survivors of domestic violence, youth aging out of foster care, veterans, seniors, and children with developmental delays.
About the role
The Associate Program Director manages the case management and specialized support service delivery system for clients as well as establishing community linkages to enhance services. In the absence of the Program Director, assumes the responsibilities of that position. Commonwealth Veterans Residence is a single room occupancy (SRO) residence that provides permanent, supportive housing to formerly homeless single veteran men and women, including those diagnosed with behavioral health issues.
Responsibilities
- Manage program personnel in case management and support areas.
- Establish and maintain program delivery models.
- Develop and maintain linkages with other service agencies, generic community resources, and state/city liaisons.
- Ensure that regulations and quality assurance indicators are achieved.
- Maintain client records in a professional and confidential manner.
- Participate in the general management of the facility or program.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field.
- Five years’ experience including two years in a supervisory role.
