Associate Professorship of Biomedical Engineering (Youth Sports Medicine Technology)
About the role
The Department of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford is seeking to appoint an expert in wearable devices and/or computer vision to the first of four tenure-track positions underpinning the newly established Institute of Youth Sports Medicine and Technology. This appointment is open at either associate professor or full professor level.
This position offers:
- Guaranteed research funding and studentships for 10 years
- Very minimal teaching commitments
- The opportunity to serve as Director of the Institute every 4 years
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of cutting-edge technologies in youth sports medicine
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to advance research in wearable devices and computer vision
- Engage in teaching and mentoring activities as part of the academic community at Oxford
Requirements

- A strong background in biomedical engineering, computer science, or a related field
- Experience in wearable device design and computer vision applications
- An established track record of research in relevant areas

Pay
The starting salary will be in the range of £65,000 - £95,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
