Associate Professor - School of Nursing Family and Community Health Department
West Virginia University School of Nursing invites applicants for a Tenure-Track Faculty position (Associate Professor) in the Family and Community Health Department on our Morgantown Campus. This position reports to the Chair of the Family and Community Health Department.
About the Role
Successful candidates will provide significant contributions to teaching, research, and service within the School of Nursing. The WVU School of Nursing is committed to providing high-level undergraduate and graduate education, including MSN, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), and PhD programs. The school emphasizes preparing Nurse Practitioners with expertise in integrating technology and hands-on skills.
Responsibilities
- Graduate education and mentorship
- Scholarly productivity and funded research
- Course development and program evaluation
- Leadership roles within the department, health science center, and university
Qualifications
- Research-focused doctoral degree in nursing (required)
- Graduate degree in nursing (required)
- Evidence of a sustained program of research
- Peer-reviewed publications within the past 5 years
- 2 years of post-doctoral training (encouraged)
- History of serving as principal or co-investigator on funded research projects
- Current external funding or NIH grant application under development (encouraged)

Start-up packages will be negotiated individually with the Dean of the School of Nursing. Rank and salary will be commensurate with the individual’s professional background and experience.
