Duties & Responsibilities
- Inspire, develop, and lead an accomplished team of faculty while mentoring trainees and advancing the division’s clinical programs.
- Foster a culture of accountability and demonstrate strong leadership and consensus-building skills across the division and the department.
- Drive strategic program growth by expanding and strengthening clinical, research, and educational initiatives; enhancing multidisciplinary collaboration; elevating the national reputation of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Arizona and Banner Health; and ensuring excellence in the training of medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Provide clinical services and mentor trainees at Banner – University Medical Center Tucson and Banner – University Medical Center South.
Minimum Qualifications
- Professor or Associate Professor
- MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent medical degree
- Board-certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery
- Candidate must be eligible for medical licensure in Arizona
