Tenure-track faculty position in Counselor Education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), a Tier I R1 research university with a diverse student body. The role involves teaching graduate‑level courses, conducting research, advising master’s and doctoral students, maintaining program accreditation, contributing to program development, and supporting the college’s strategic goals while fostering an inclusive, culturally rich learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate‑level (master’s and doctoral) courses in counselor education.
• Conduct research in a focused scholarship agenda.
• Advise master’s and doctoral level students.
• Help maintain program accreditation standards and contribute to program development.
• Support and contribute to the strategic goals of the College of Education and university.
• Promote diversity, equity, and inclusiveness; foster a respectful, positive, and collaborative work environment.

Requirements

• Earned doctorate from a CACREP‑accredited program in counselor education and supervision from an institution recognized by CHEA.
• Licensed or license‑eligible as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor or School Counselor in the State of Nevada.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching, research, and scholarly activity, including securing external funding.
• Established leadership in professional counseling organizations.
• Robust research agenda with significant publications in counseling and related journals.
• History of working with and mentoring students in research, including dissertation committee service.
• For tenured consideration: demonstrated ability to meet tenure criteria as outlined in departmental bylaws (research, teaching, service).
