About the Role

The Section of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology at Children’s Hospital Colorado seeks a physician and surgeon with fertility preservation expertise whose clinical and academic interests align with our mission to promote and advance reproductive health through excellence in patient care, education, research, and advocacy. This position primarily serves the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and Children’s Hospital Colorado, with a small percentage of time spent at the University of Colorado Hospital providing gynecology-only, daytime medical and surgical services for our adolescent-to-adult transition program.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient, outpatient, call coverage, procedures, and surgery
• Educate medical students, residents, and fellows
• Conduct research and pursue academic interests

About the Team

The Section of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and Children’s Hospital Colorado is a robust medical and surgical practice comprising four Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecologists and two Women’s Health Nurse Practitioners. The section provides gynecologic care for patients from birth through age 25 and collaborates across multiple disciplines, including urology, colorectal surgery, endocrinology, hematology, oncology, pediatric surgery, and adolescent medicine.

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology includes over 120 board-certified physicians and supports the training of 47 residents and 14 fellows. The section is well-established within the Center for Surgery at Children’s Hospital Colorado, offering unique opportunities for academic collaboration and resource allocation.

Requirements

• Board eligible or Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Completion of a pediatric and adolescent gynecology fellowship recognized by the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology
• Completed or eligible for completion of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology Focused Practice Designation in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology
• Licensure by the Colorado State Medical Board (required prior to employment)
• 5-10 years of clinical OBGYN experience
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience practicing in academic medicine
• Experience as a clinical educator
• Qualifications meeting Associate or Professor criteria at the University of Colorado School of Medicine

Pay

The starting salary range for this position is $300,000 to $350,000. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless non-exempt. Total compensation includes generous leave, health plans, and retirement contributions.
