Job Summary

This faculty position will have clinical, research, and administrative responsibilities within the Department of Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology, and the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. The individual will serve as an attending physician in the Division of Medical Oncology, focusing on the care and treatment of patients with malignancies and other solid tumors. Responsibilities include outpatient care and inpatient attending duties. The role also involves expanding the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center Clinical Trials portfolio in cancer research.

Responsibilities

• Hold clinic sessions and perform inpatient attending duties at Sylvester’s main campus or other clinical practice sites.
• Participate in department academic activities, divisional/departmental meetings, and may lecture, conduct demonstrations, or teach across UM schools.
• Explore and develop research collaborations within and outside the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center or the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
• Write and submit scientific papers, abstracts, and grant proposals (if applicable).
• Conduct and develop clinical and translational trials related to cancer treatment, assisting in the expansion of the clinical trials portfolio as an investigator and principal investigator.

Requirements

• Demonstrated track record of excellence in patient care, research, and peer-reviewed publications.
• Potential to serve as principal investigator of cutting-edge clinical trials.
• National recognition and/or experience in developing clinical trials, including investigator-initiated trials and personalized medicine.
• Board certification or eligibility in Hematology and/or Oncology.
• Active or eligibility to obtain a Florida Medical License.
