About the role
The Department of Emergency Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Emergency Medicine. Applicants must have an M.D. degree. ABEM certified or board eligible is required.
Responsibilities
- Teaching responsibilities may include bedside clinical teaching of emergency medicine residents and students.
- Lectures, journal clubs, case conferences, simulation teaching, small group discussions, and others.
- Enthusiasm and dedication to educating our residents and students are highly valued in our department.
- Clinical responsibilities may include providing outstanding clinical care to emergency department patients in one or more of our three city hospitals: Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, and Pennsylvania Hospital.
- Patients seen in our EDs include high acuity, complex patients, as well as patients with less acute illnesses and injuries.
- Penn Presbyterian Medical Center is a Level 1 Trauma Center.
