About the role

The USC Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy at the University of Southern California is seeking talented tenure-eligible faculty to join our scholarly community at the rank of Full Professor or Associate Professor.

Responsibilities

Candidates should demonstrate a strong track-record of funded research and scholarship, and a commitment to excellence in predoctoral, doctoral, and postdoctoral education. They should thrive in contemporary interdisciplinary academic arenas, lead innovative research teams, produce impactful findings, and facilitate knowledge translation to critical health or societal issues. Commitments and expertise related to mentorship, grantsmanship, collaborative/team science, and dissemination are also expected. Preference will be given to scholars who are recognized experts in aging and Alzheimer’s, health services research, mental health, spinal cord injury, neurorehabilitation, clinical intervention research, occupational science, health equity/social justice, and disability studies. Applicants must have a research doctoral degree or equivalent (e.g., PhD, ScD) in an area applicable to occupational science or occupational therapy and be able to articulate existing/potential contributions to these fields.

Qualifications

The annual base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $140,000. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
