About the Role
Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in pediatric psychology with a focus on psycho-oncology.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or equivalent degree
- Pediatric psychology internship and fellowship
- Psychology license or license-eligible in PA and NJ
Responsibilities
- Teaching responsibilities may include didactic lectures to interns, fellows, residents, and medical students from the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania
- Clinical supervision of psychology externs and interns
- Lectures to pediatric residents, hematology/oncology fellows, and psychiatry residents
- Pediatric psychology consultation and intervention for patients treated in the CHOP Cancer Center, including clinical services and program development for patients and families treated at the Voorhees Specialty Care Center and other Cancer Center sites
- Opportunities for engagement in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives in the Cancer Center and the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, including patient and caregiver support and staff wellness
Excellence in teaching is required.
