About the role
GE Energy Connections' Power Conversion Division provides Electrical power conversion systems for various renewables, industry, marine, and Oil & Gas applications. Typical scope includes MV & LV drives, motors, transformers, E-house, switchgear, and control as well as the associated power systems engineering. The Electro-Mechanical Technician role is expected to be an individual capable of reading electrical and mechanical drawings and translating that into a finished product.

Responsibilities
- Assemble components onto panels and into enclosures following mechanical layout and assembly drawings with zero deficiencies
- Wire components per electrical schematics following predefined guidelines and work standards
- Capable of completing minor modifications to metal panels and enclosures including cutting, drilling, and tapping
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 2 years of related industry experience)
Desired skills
- Knowledgeable with panel assembly and wiring
- Knowledge of UL508A standards
- Willingness to learn new product
- Minimum of 2 years manufacturing/assembly/wiring experience
- Panel assembly and wiring experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Familiar with assembly and wiring a range of drive product including AC & DC drives, variable speed drives, motor exciters, remote I/O stations, and operator stations
