Associate Product Owner
About the role
At HCA Healthcare, our Digital Transformation and Innovation (DT&I) team is redefining what's possible in patient care. By leveraging the power of artificial intelligence, automation, and digital technologies, DT&I is helping drive meaningful improvements in clinical outcomes, reduce manual workload, and expand the reach of our care teams.
As our Associate Product Owner – Timpani Enterprise Support & Maintenance, you'll be at the center of product operations, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. You'll take ownership of an enterprise support backlog, help prioritize enhancements, solve production challenges, and partner with talented teams to ensure our technology continues delivering value at scale. You'll work closely with nursing leaders, workforce management, IT, development teams, and product leadership to turn real-world challenges into actionable solutions. Your mission: keep essential technology running smoothly today while helping build a stronger, more sustainable product experience for tomorrow.
Responsibilities
- Own Product Health & Continuous Improvement: Help drive the reliability, stability, and performance of Timpani's enterprise capabilities. Identify recurring challenges, uncover improvement opportunities, and coordinate solutions that enhance the user experience. Support the transition of established product capabilities into a scalable, long-term support model. Partner with product leadership to monitor key performance indicators, identify trends, and continuously improve product health.
- Drive Priorities & Deliver Results: Own and manage the Enterprise Support backlog, balancing production issues, bug fixes, maintenance needs, and targeted enhancements. Translate business needs and user feedback into clear requirements, actionable user stories, and well-defined acceptance criteria. Collaborate with technical teams to evaluate solutions, prioritize work, and deliver improvements that create meaningful enterprise value. Make thoughtful prioritization recommendations based on business impact, urgency, risk, and available capacity.
- Be the Voice of the Customer: Build strong relationships with frontline clinicians, nursing leaders, workforce teams, and business stakeholders. Advocate for the people using our technology every day, ensuring their needs inform product decisions. Serve as a trusted point of contact for product support needs, issue resolution, and enhancement opportunities. Communicate priorities, progress, and resolutions clearly across technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Collaborate, Innovate & Execute: Partner with product owners, Scrum Masters, developers, and technical leads in an Agile environment. Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, retrospectives, and support triage. Coordinate across teams to remove obstacles, resolve dependencies, and keep important work moving forward. Help deliver improvements across Timpani capabilities, including Staff App, Flex Path, Attendance, Manager Mobile, workforce integrations, reporting, and forecasting.
