About the role

The Associate Product Manager supports physical product development, SKU management, and lifecycle optimization within Wilsonart's High-Pressure Laminate (HPL) manufacturing product line. This role partners closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales to drive profitability, manage product changes, and support new product introductions.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in managing new product introductions to meet stated timelines
  • Identify opportunities for price realization, mix improvement, and cost recovery
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Operations to analyze product cost structures and variances
  • Partner with Product, Operations, and Sales to manage the non-promoted HPL portfolio, including product exceptions, special customer requests, and end of life
  • Evaluate the impact of materials and production changes on profitability
  • Identify root causes and quantify financial impact of quality issues, such as defects and claims
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Technical Services to manage HPL product and technical information in print and on the web

Requirements

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe
  • Ability to perform competitive analysis and marketing research
  • Knowledge of marketing methodologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with all levels within the company and with customers
  • Compelling public speaking skills
  • Ability to develop collaborative relations across departments and levels of the organization
  • Experience leading and executing the new product introduction process

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with physical or manufactured products (e.g., building materials, industrial products, consumer goods)
  • Exposure to manufacturing, supply chain, or operations environments
  • Experience working with product SKUs, cost structures, or materials

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in place of degree
