Associate Product Engineer

About the role

Book of the Month is seeking a dynamic Product Engineer to rotate across the full stack of product activities—from front-end component building to back-end renewals automation and agent creation. This role blends product, design, operations, and engineering into a single position that utilizes a variety of tools, including Claude code, to achieve outcomes across the business. You’ll report to the VP of Product and collaborate closely with all areas of the business to optimize the spec-to-production pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Leverage Claude to code new design components and pages to minimize cycle time from Figma to production.
• Partner with member services to improve customer response times via agent automations.
• Spec and create data views for stakeholders and conduct ad hoc data analysis.
• Own product features and experiments from idea to spec, build, QA, deployment, and measurement.
• Optimize marketing design workflow by creating tools (using Claude code or other coding tools) that support landing page multivariate testing.

These are examples of the type of work you’ll be doing; responsibilities will evolve as business and customer needs change and our use of Claude matures.

Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or 1–2 years of work experience as a Front End Engineer or 1–2 years of work experience as a Product Manager or 1–2 years of work experience as a UX/UI Designer.
• Excitement about leveraging a variety of tools, including Claude, to solve business and customer problems.
• Familiarity with agentic code tools like Claude code is a plus.

Pay

$100,000 – $140,000.
