ASSOCIATE PRODUCT DEVELOPER - NINJA APAC

About the role

This is an onsite position based at our Needham, MA headquarters. The Product Development organization drives our global product roadmap from concept to shelf, acting as “product CEOs” who partner cross-functionally to deliver high satisfaction for our end users and drive business results. Responsibilities

• Support the Ninja business by developing successful and profitable programs for key products to ensure continued growth of the product portfolio.
• Assist in leading new product development (creation and management) of assigned product(s) from brainstorm phase through mass production.
• Partner with leadership to define over-arching category direction for a team of product developers.
• Progress, report on, and action your and your team’s deliverables with full responsibility and accountability.
• Define, develop, and iterate product specifications, marrying consumer wants/needs, market white space, and product technologies as the primary consumer advocate.
• Take ownership of your assigned categories’ sales performance by identifying what products are working or not, and recommending new product opportunities to fill gaps.
• Lead competitive product analyses to provide insights into how Shark stacks up against the competition and identify areas for improvement.
• Serve as the voice of legacy product lines, sharing consumer and market insights with Product Developers focused on new product development.
• Partner with SharkNinja Testing and Quality organizations to define, develop, and manage quality and performance testing procedures.
• Act as the product “expert” for cross-functional team member questions and concerns.

Requirements

• 1-2+ years of experience in product development, product marketing, marketing, human factors engineering, or a related field, preferably at a consumer goods company.
• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Marketing, Management, Engineering, or a combination of these fields.
• A “100% on” consumer-first perspective when introducing new products/processes or improving current products.
• A mindset geared toward building relationships across multi-functional teams, coupled with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Highly-effective communication skills—both written (presentation/email) and face-to-face (ability to host succinct, effective conversations and make presentations to all levels of management).
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• A desire to learn and grow in a passionate environment.
• The ability to embrace transparency and shifting priorities while learning from each decision and focusing on the path forward.

Pay

Annual salary range: $56,300—$80,000 USD.
