Associate Producer, NBC News NOW Daily 12pm-2pm

Job Description

NBC News NOW is seeking an Associate Producer to join our NBC News Daily team. This position will work a 6am - 2pm shift on a program airing across streaming platforms and NBC affiliates live in the afternoon. We are looking for associate producers who thrive in a fast-paced, quickly changing and deadline driven team environment.

Qualifications

• You’ve been working in broadcast, streaming or cable news for 2+ years – preferably working on live daily shows or in and around a control room.
• You’re comfortable editing digital video and you want to get even better at it.
• You want a career in journalism and stay up on the news across multiple subject areas.
• You’ve got big ideas and want to develop your journalistic writing and research skills to bring them to life.
• You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
• You’re able to work calmly under intense deadlines to finish a project.
• You check and double check your work to ensure accuracy.
• You are willing and able to work in New York, New York.

Desired Qualifications

• You thrive working in a collaborative team environment.
• You pay attention to the details of everything you work on.
• You have prior experience shooting in the field on DSLR cameras.
• You have prior experience editing video, ideally in both Avid and Premiere.
• You’ve got thorough knowledge of current events.
• You’ve got big ideas and the journalistic writing and research skills to bring them to life.
• You’re familiar with iNEWS.
• You live for the moments when news is breaking and time to air is short.

Additional Requirements

• Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The company reserves the right to change the in office requirement at any time.

Pay

Salary range: $75,000 - $85,000
