Producer, Newsgathering, NBC News
Job Description
NBC News is seeking a seasoned, driven Producer to support newsgathering, storytelling, and live production across all platforms. This role will work closely with a Correspondent and production teams to pitch, develop, report, and execute compelling journalism—from breaking news to in-depth features, investigative reporting to national coverage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in network news, cable, or talk show production, including live and taped segments.
- Strong journalistic writing, research, and editorial judgment skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. politics, current events, pop culture, and lifestyle trends.
- Experience shooting (DSLR or similar) and editing (Avid and/or Adobe Premiere).
- Strong ability to navigate newsroom tools and technology (Slack, NCX, Latakoo, etc.)
- Proven ability to work in fast-paced environments under tight deadlines.
- Must be willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime with short notice.
- Must be able to travel frequently, domestically and internationally.
- Able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to collaborate across teams.
Additional Requirements
- This position has been designated as fully remote, based in Atlanta, GA, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-NBCUniversal worksite, most commonly an employee’s residence.

Pay and Benefits
Salary range: $93,000 - $120,000
