Associate - Private Wealth

About the role

The Denver office of BakerHostetler is seeking a mid-level private wealth associate with 4 or more years of trusts and estates experience. The position includes complex drafting, research, tax analysis, project management, client interaction, gift and estate tax return preparation, and counsel regarding choice of entity (LLC, partnership, S-corp., etc.), formation and governance.

Responsibilities

• Complex drafting, research, and tax analysis

• Work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple assignments
• Manage projects and interface with clients

Qualifications

• Experience in trusts and estates, complex drafting, research, tax analysis, project management, client interaction, gift and estate tax return preparation, and counsel regarding choice of entity (LLC, partnership, S-corp., etc.), formation and governance
• Excellent research, written, and oral communication skills
• Strong ability and desire to manage projects and interface with clients
• A strong academic record, having earned a J.D. from a nationally recognized and accredited law school; LL.M. in taxation a plus
• Must be admitted to practice law in the state of Colorado (or be eligible to waive into Colorado)
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Pay

The expected annual salary for this position ranges from $225,000 - $260,000. The salary offered will be determined by a wide range of factors, including, but not limited to, experience level, education/training, geographic region, and relevant skills.
