Associate Portfolio Manager (various locations to be considered within footprint)
Responsibilities
- Support the firm's Investment Policy Committee (IPC)
- Conduct research into mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, fixed-income securities and individual stocks
- Build and maintain financial models in Excel
- Track investment statistics
- Manage data
- Portfolio analysis
- RFP and general presentation preparation
- Ad hoc projects
- Learn the trading systems and process at Nottingham
- Understand and support the firm's proprietary trading process
- Perform ad hoc fundamental research to assist in the development of new portfolio themes and strategies
- Understand macroeconomic trends and asset class valuation (equity, fixed income, alternatives)
- Conduct exchange-traded fund due diligence through the use of research software including Bloomberg Professional and Morningstar Direct, as well as direct interaction with ETF providers
- Utilize the firm's portfolio management system (PMS), Orion, to fulfill client reporting requirements
- Create and update "deal books" on various investment strategies for use with client prospects
- Support the production of the firm's regular (weekly, monthly, quarterly) research publications
- Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in Finance, Economics or Accounting) with strong academic track record
- Knowledge of the financial or brokerage industry a plus
- Minimum of 5 years in an administrative or accounting position
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
- Proficiency in spreadsheet modeling, graphing, and presentations
- Familiarity with the Bloomberg Terminal
