About the role

The Boston office is seeking a proactive and professional Associate Portfolio Manager to support the complex investment objectives and service needs of clients. This role requires a broad understanding of investment disciplines and strategies, with a high level of attention to detail and flexibility in implementing diverse investment approaches.

Responsibilities

• Participate in portfolio management activities for Individual, Family, Trust, and Balanced Institutional portfolios, tailored to customized client needs, including liquidity management and analysis of equity, fixed income, and alternative investments.
• Ensure portfolio managers have adequate information for daily portfolio management, with a focus on various information systems.
• Develop and implement investment strategies in coordination with the Portfolio Management team and Investment Solutions Group.
• Perform detailed analyses of existing and prospective client portfolios and create client-specific materials and reports.
• Assist in managing all aspects of client relationships, including trading, reporting, communication, and coordination with Portfolio Managers, Portfolio Analysts, Strategic Advisors, Account Administrators, and Messaging.
• Establish and cultivate trusting relationships with new and existing clients, helping them understand their investments and planning strategies.
• Expand and maintain relationships with internal and external business partners to increase introductions of prospective clients.
• Proactively participate in firm initiatives directed by local management.
• Demonstrate curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, improve efficiency, and leverage new technologies, including AI-enabled productivity solutions.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3–5 years of experience within the finance industry; 5–7 years preferred.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• MBA or progress toward CFA designation is desired.
• Ability to effectively communicate with clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Bloomberg, FactSet, Charles River, or APX is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task, establish priorities, and work both independently and within a small team environment.
• Ability to handle confidential material with discretion.
• Passion for financial markets.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer-sponsored work authorization.
• Ability to work in the Boston office location.

Pay

$115,000–$140,000. Does not include bonus or long-term incentive eligibility.
