Key Responsibilities
- Learn and contribute to production infrastructure automation using Ansible and Terraform
- Assist in building and maintaining cloud-native services across VKE, VLB, and VCR
- Develop hands-on skills with Kubernetes and container runtimes through guided project work
- Write and improve tooling and scripts (Go, Python, Bash) to support platform operations
- Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows for platform services
- Dig into issues across networking, containers, and Linux systems with curiosity and persistence
- Contribute to Vultr's open-source tools and libraries with guidance from senior engineers
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response as you build operational experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language (Go, Python, Bash, or similar)
- Basic understanding of Linux systems and command-line operations
- Interest in cloud infrastructure, containers, and Kubernetes (prior experience not required)
- Strong problem-solving instincts and willingness to dig into unfamiliar systems
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote team
Pay
$80,000 - $90,000 Final compensation will vary depending on years of experience, background/skill set, location, and applicable laws.
