About the role
HBK Engineering, LLC is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Associate Permit Coordinator to manage the full lifecycle of project permitting. This critical role serves as the central point of contact for all regulatory inquiries, ensuring continuous compliance across local, state, and federal jurisdictions for all engineering projects.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all permit-related inquiries
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations governing permits
- Research and prepare permit applications for submission to the appropriate regulatory agency
- Track and monitor the status of permit applications through approval and construction processes
- Prepare reports on permit activity as requested
- Cook with other departments within the organization to ensure compliance with permit requirements
- Keep abreast of changes in permit regulations and advise management of potential impacts
- Aid in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to permitting
- Serve as liaison between the organization and regulatory permitting agencies
- Maintain accurate records of permit activity
- Respond to client inquiries regarding permit status
- Additional documentation responsibilities and ability to train others
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Railroad crossing permit experience
- Wetlands and endangered species permitting
- Easement reviews
- Parks and Recreation permitting
- FAA permitting
- Xcel Energy experience
Qualifications
- Right-of-way (ROW) permitting
- City and county street permitting
- DOT permitting
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systems
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Solid interpersonal skills
- Must be proactive and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to maintain a high level of accuracy and pay close attention to detail

Pay
Competitive salary based on experience
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
