What We’re Looking For:Currently enrolled in or graduated from a technical or trade or school program pursuing an Associate degree or equivalent certification.Majors in: Ag Business, General Business, Finance, and Technology.GPA of 2.5 or higherStrong work ethic, hands-on experience, flexibility, and collaboration skillsGreat communication skills and comfort in Microsoft Office tools, with the ability to learn new software. Job Functions50%Internship Program – Focused in one area (10-12 Weeks)Learn the components of one department such as Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Credit, Loan Services, Information Services, or other departmentLearn the components of the lending processLearn credit fundamentals and credit philosophyLearn the variety of risk management functions 20%ProjectsComplete one or more projects identified by assigned department and by FCS that are hands-on in nature and designed to add value to the company.Presentations to the senior leadership, mentors and other staff at the conclusion of the internship. 20%CommunicationWork with several mentors within various areas of the Association.Interact with FCS staff as a team member. 10%MarketingLearn about customer relationships and marketing and contribute to FCS brand image as the leading agriculture financial institution committed to customers. n/aOther duties as assigned to meet the needs of the organization.Essential Functions for this position consist of all items listed under any category that make up 5% or more of the job duties. Minimum QualificationsCurrently enrolled in or graduated from a technical or trade school pursuing an Associate or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification.Desired degree programs are agribusiness, general business, finance, accounting and technology degreesMinimum 2.5 GPA Required Knowledge and SkillsGeneral knowledge of FCS Financial and the financial services industryGeneral knowledge of basic financial/accounting terms and applicationsSkill in using Microsoft technologies including e‐mail, word and spreadsheet processingVerbal and written communication skills sufficient to discuss a variety of job-related topics, and to effectively communicate complex topics to a variety of audiencesResponsible to appropriately protect the confidentiality, security, and integrity of the Association’s systems and data and clients’ data
