Responsibilities

• Leverage your passion for and knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and engineering to:
• Conduct property condition assessments (PCAs)
• Provide estimations of probable costs to repair or replace systems
• Peer review building designs
• Perform energy audits, system commissioning, forensic evaluations, construction management, and design and evaluations of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems
• Interact with site personnel and clients, communicate clearly
• Engage in a diverse array of projects offering unique challenges and opportunities to make a tangible impact
• Travel to project sites is required

Requirements

• BSME or BSAE with a mechanical specialty, PE, and at least 10 years' experience in engineering design and evaluation of large-scale building mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems
• HVAC and plumbing system expertise, along with a fundamental knowledge of electrical and fire protection systems
• Working knowledge of national and state building codes and experience in facilities engineering, energy audits, commissioning, and sustainability consulting
• Demonstrated leadership and project management successes
• Ability to communicate in a professional manner, remain organized, and multitask
• Decision-making and problem-solving experience in a technical role
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, and Box

Skills

Physical Requirements

• Able to operate a computer (keyboarding) and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copier/scanner/printer
• Able to use visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens
• Able to move through construction and existing building sites over rough terrain
• Able to see and respond to dangerous situations
• Able to respond quickly to sounds
• Able to ascend and descend ladders and stairs
• Able to move safely through confined spaces and narrow paths
• Able to work in outdoor weather conditions or unconditioned areas
• Able to travel approximately 25-50% of the time both in and out of state
