Salary: Will Be Commensurate With Qualifications And Experience. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Ph.D. from a reputed university in South Asian Studies, Linguistics, Literature, or a related field, focused on the languages of India, with reference to sociolinguistics, multilingualism, translation, or related topics; Evidence of a strong research program, quality publications, and high standing in the international research community; Deep knowledge of Indian civilization and society, its cultural roots and global impact, as well as issues and developments in India Studies; Effective teaching experience at the university level; Knowledge of at least one of the languages of India. Demonstrated administrative experience and leadership potential in a university context; Effective engagement with Indian American communities in terms of outreach and advancement; Eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Sanskrit, classical India, and Indian knowledge systems; Experience in building (or potential to build) a vibrant India Studies program; Experience in working with archives in India; Interest and experience in organizing a Study Abroad program in India. Application instructions: we need to remove those. We also have location and deadline. We need sections: About the role (maybe description), Responsibilities (teaching, director duties, etc.), Requirements (required qualifications), Qualifications (maybe preferred?), Skills (maybe language knowledge?), Benefits (none specific), Pay (salary statement), Schedule (none). We should only include sections with real specific content. We have location and deadline: could be part of About the role? Could be a short paragraph. We must not include placeholder like "commensurate with experience" for Pay? Actually salary statement is "Salary Will Be Commensurate With Qualifications And Experience." That's somewhat generic but it's actual content. The instruction says: "IMPORTANT: include a section ONLY when the posting has real, specific content for it — never emit a heading followed by filler/placeholder text (e.g. 'commensurate with experience', 'not specified', 'N/A', 'varies', 'TBD')". So we cannot include Pay section if it's just "commensurate with qualifications and experience" because that's considered filler? The example includes "commensurate with experience" as placeholder to avoid. So we should omit Pay section. Similarly Schedule: no info. Benefits: none. Skills: maybe language knowledge? Could be considered part of qualifications. But we could have a Skills section for "Knowledge of at least one of the languages of India" etc. However we already have qualifications covering that. Might be redundant. Better to have sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements (required qualifications), Qualifications (preferred qualifications). Or combine required and preferred under Qualifications? The instruction says use headings like Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. So we can have Requirements for required qualifications, Qualifications for preferred qualifications, Skills maybe for language knowledge? But language knowledge is already in required qualifications. Could put under Skills: "Knowledge of at least one of the languages of India". But we already have that in required qualifications; maybe we can keep it under Requirements and not duplicate. We need to preserve all substantive info, not invent or summarize away detail. So we must include all details from description, responsibilities, qualifications, etc. We must not include boilerplate like EEO, application instructions, copyright, etc. We need to output only HTML fragment. Let's craft sections:

Skills: maybe we could include language knowledge but already covered. Could skip Skills section. Benefits: none specific, so omit. Pay: we have salary statement but it's generic; per instruction we should omit because it's placeholder-like. So no Pay section. Schedule: none. We must ensure we don't include any boilerplate like "Stony Brook is a dynamic research university..." That is substantive? It's a description of the university. Could be included in About the role maybe. It says: "Stony Brook is a dynamic research university, a member of the Association of American Universities, with a large, diverse, intercultural student population." That's substantive info about the institution. Should we include? Yes, preserve all substantive information. So we can add that to About the role paragraph. Also we have "Over the last 30 years, the Center has exposed over 25,000 students to various aspects of India." Already included. We also have "Supported by the Center's endowments, the Director will provide academic leadership and strategic direction to the Center by conducting research projects, including facilitating faculty research with grants and collaboration with scholars in India; teaching of courses on India; organizing seminars, conferences and endowed lectures; administering scholarships and travel grants; developing the India Reference Library; publishing books and journals; conducting outreach programs; and advancing a robust engagement with the public and the Indian American community in the New York metropolitan area to grow the Center's resources."
