Associate or Full Professor of Epidemiology
This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month tenure-track faculty position at the Associate or Professor level within the Department of Epidemiology at the University of Florida.
About the Role
The Department of Epidemiology seeks a faculty member with expertise in chronic disease epidemiology (e.g., cardiovascular, pulmonary, cancer, aging, obesity/metabolism) and clinical epidemiology. The department specializes in cutting-edge areas including substance use and HIV, genetic epidemiology, cancer epidemiology, psychiatric epidemiology, data science/AI, and infectious and chronic disease epidemiology.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching, mentoring, and research within a dynamic academic health center environment. Faculty members are jointly appointed in the College of Public Health and Health Professions and the College of Medicine, fostering synergies and collective strength.
Responsibilities
- Serve as principal investigator of extramurally funded research projects.
- Collaborate with other faculty members on research initiatives.
- Teach in the epidemiology and public health programs, including the PhD, Master of Science, and MPH programs.
- Mentor students and contribute to service through committee work.

- Doctoral degree in epidemiology or a related field.
