About the role
The Department of Dermatology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track.
Requirements
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree
- Board certified or board eligible in Dermatology with focus on cutaneous oncology and skin cancers at increased risk for recurrence or metastasis
- Expertise in non-invasive diagnosis and surveillance of pigmented lesions
Qualifications
- Skin cancer expertise, proven by publications, invited lectures, or clinical experience (strongly preferred)
- Demonstrated leadership experience or potential (preferred)
- Rank will be commensurate with experience
Teaching responsibilities
- Didactics to world-class residents, fellows, medical students and trainees rotating from other institutions in dermatology and other specialties concerning skin cancer, Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology
- Play a key role in educating residents on the cutaneous oncology track and research fellow in cutaneous oncology
Clinical responsibilities
- Evaluation and treatment of patients with skin cancer, particularly those with a high risk of recurrence or metastasis
- Focus on patients in the Penn Dermatology Oncology Center's specialty clinics, including the Pigmented Lesion Clinic, the Rare and Inherited Skin Cancer Clinic, and the High-Risk Skin Cancer Clinic for Organ Transplant Recipients and Immunosuppressed patients
- Benefit from a busy practice and an extensive infrastructure with state-of-the-art facilities and a large support staff of nurses, histotechnicians, research fellows, and coordinators
