Associate, Operations (East Branch) - Northeast TX/OK
About the role
The Associate, Operations will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance Team Rubicon's rapid and local disaster response capabilities. They will build relationships with community partners in emergency management, VOAD, and local disaster assistance organizations in North Texas and Oklahoma, including Amarillo, Lubbock, Abilene, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Tyler Metro Areas. This role requires working with competing priorities and keeping stakeholders informed of decisions.
Responsibilities
- Execute Team Rubicon’s strategy to improve disaster response readiness and local impact
- Develop and maintain relationships with disaster assistance organizations at various levels
- Support program delivery by recruiting, onboarding, and developing Greyshirt volunteer leaders
- Purchase and manage expenses according to the branch budget plan
- Provide EOC support and disaster response coordination across relevant agencies
- Coordinate response activities with local, state, federal, and non-governmental agencies
- Implement disaster response strategies and ensure efficient resource deployment
- Facilitate communication between field operations, EOC, and external stakeholders
Requirements
- 1-3 years of relevant professional experience in the military, disaster response, emergency management, or first responder fields
- Proven record of personnel management experience, including recruiting, managing, training, and developing employees and volunteers
- Proficiency with technology tools for remote working and coordinating with a large network of TR staff members, Greyshirts, and external stakeholders
- Successful past performance in leading volunteers
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
- Experience: 1-3 years of relevant professional experience in disaster response, emergency management, or related fields
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to manage competing priorities, and proficiency with technology tools

Pay
$48,936.25 - $68,608.08 per year
Schedule
This is a full-time, remote position preferably based within the Dallas-Fort Worth Metro Area; within Northeast Texas (TX) north of Abilene & east of Waco, or anywhere in Oklahoma (OK). The person filling this position will be expected to travel within their local area to support ongoing efforts and travel at least 25% non-local for broader organizational activities focused within the assigned territory.
