About the role

We’re seeking a Fund/Client Accounting Representative II to join our Fund and IS Client Ops team in Boston, MA. In this role, you’ll lead day-to-day operations for a medium-sized fund accounting support team, providing work direction and technical assistance on complex matters.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting and NAV production functions for more complex funds, including NAV construction and validation, review, dissemination, and reporting activities.
  • Review data, resolve escalated issues arising during daily, weekly, or monthly accounting and reporting cycles, and maintain accounting records for higher-complexity funds in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Drive process improvements, including establishing data maintenance and summarization processes to enhance team efficiency, reduce audit and financial exposure, and support reporting and client communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or the equivalent combination of education and experience (required).
  • 5–7 years of total work experience (preferred).
  • Experience in accounting support, including NAV production, reporting, and resolving complex data issues (preferred).
  • Experience preparing and coordinating system-generated reports and reviewing the work of junior team members (preferred).

Skills

  • People leadership: No direct reports; may have work allocation and team lead responsibilities, and regular client interaction to exchange information and address questions.

Pay

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $52,000 and $90,000 per year at the commencement of employment. Base salary is determined on an individualized basis, including experience and market location, and is only part of the total compensation package, which may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and company-sponsored benefit programs.
