Associate, Multifamily Asset Management – San Franscico

About the role

Tishman Speyer seeks an Associate in Asset Management to support the Residential Asset Management team. The role involves providing analytical support, completing market research, preparing presentations, and executing asset business plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support for asset management, including quarterly valuations, cash management, hold/sell analyses, and ad hoc sensitivity analyses.
• Conduct market research using third-party data providers and local brokers to compile lease comparables, sale comparables, competitive sets, development pipelines, and general market data.
• Create and present materials and proposals with a focus on written and graphic requirements.
• Develop and execute asset business plans, coordinate with investment partners, and participate in meetings with internal teams and third-party consultants.
• Manage refinancing and disposition activities as they arise.
• Track ongoing capital projects in collaboration with design & construction teams and property management.
• Generate monthly investment reports, evaluate operational performance, identify key risks, track business plan execution, and provide asset-level commentary.
• Support lender reporting responsibilities, including coordinating reporting requirements and ensuring compliance with debt covenants.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in an analytically rigorous Real Estate or Finance environment.
• Evident passion for real estate and a desire to build a career on the principal side.
• Strong financial acumen, including experience analyzing property financial statements.
• Effective creative problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, ARGUS Enterprise, and financial modeling.
• The ability to work effectively with peers and senior executives in a highly entrepreneurial, team-oriented environment.
• Unwavering attention to detail.
• A willingness to travel to assets as needed.

Pay

Base compensation range: $115,000 – $130,000
