Associate Merchant

Responsibilities

• Support and help build merchandising strategies aligned with sales and profitability goals
• Analyze sales performance by vendor, category, style, and SKU to identify opportunities and risks and make appropriate business recommendations
• Affiliate with assortment planning, product selection, and identifying category whitespace
• Optimize product presentation and collection merchandising on the Bare Necessities Shopify site as well as other marketplace channels
• Maintain accurate product setup and SKU-level data across systems and site
• Partner cross-functionally to resolve inventory, PO, and shipment discrepancies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Retail Management, Analytics, or related field preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in merchandising, ecommerce, buying, or retail analytics
• Ecommerce experience required; Shopify experience strongly preferred
• Advanced Excel skills required: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and large dataset analysis
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail
• Highly trainable with the ability to quickly learn systems and processes
• Experience with retail systems and inventory platforms preferred

Pay

$65,000/yr - $75,000/yr
