About the Role

The Associate Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design and application of solutions using engineering fundamentals and established practices, procedures, and guidelines. This position engages in the project life cycle, providing technical support, task management, delivery, and innovation in mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage a large workload of projects with predefined contract requirements and meet Service Level Agreement requirements.
  • Accomplish specified technical objectives on time and to customers’ expectations.
  • Deliver high-quality, reliable solutions that provide meaningful customer value.
  • Perform Application Engineering activities.
  • Develop and finalize system designs, calculations, and component selections using engineering fundamentals, applicable codes, and company standards.
  • Apply established technical solutions and modify designs to meet project-specific requirements, ensuring safety, compliance, and performance.
  • Analyze and resolve complex technical topics across design, manufacturing, and installation.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects to meet contract requirements and SLAs.
  • Plan, prioritize, and execute engineering tasks to ensure timely completion of drawings, submittals, change orders, and release-to-manufacturing.
  • Maintain accountability for the accuracy, quality, and completeness of all technical documentation and deliverables.
  • Support the project lifecycle by aligning engineering solutions with project objectives and customer expectations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, field operations, and manufacturing teams to drive successful execution.
  • Communicate technical information clearly and proactively resolve issues to ensure a positive internal and external customer experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering – Mechanical or a closely related field.
  • 0 - 2 years experience in the elevator industry or similar industry.
  • 0 - 2 years experience working with CAD Software (experiences may be concurrent).

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal, written, technical report writing).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all internal engineering teams, engineering management, and customers.
  • Maintains a positive and professional attitude in a highly demanding environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Knowledge of Mechanical System Design and Analysis.
  • Knowledge of Architectural/Structural Drawings.

Pay

Base Salary $71,200 - $75,000. The above represents the typical salary range for this position. Revisions to the range may be considered based on experience, education, location, demonstrated skills, and alignment with business priorities. This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on performance.
