About the role

CMTA (formerly AMA Group), a Legence Company, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to oversee and manage a range of projects, both large and small, with a focus on providing technical leadership in mechanical design. This role is a first-level project team manager, responsible for coordinating and managing the activities of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and lead daily team activities with inside and outside design team members
  • Advance the design of the project with those you supervise
  • Become responsible for managing projects through all phases of development
  • Receive technical guidance on unusual or complex projects
  • Learn and understand contract terms and the scope of service
  • Responsible for all facets of product delivery to assigned clients and shares accountability for satisfaction
  • Manage a significant amount of work as a project manager and be responsible for several projects
  • Build relationships with the design team and/or clients
  • Respond to requests from clients and communicate information on time to strengthen trust in your advisor
  • Mentor 1-2 developing engineers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; PE highly preferred
  • Minimum 5 - 9 years of experience in mechanical engineering; field experience required; people management experience highly preferred

Desired Skills And Experience

  • Expert knowledge of building codes and standards, engineering drafting standards, mechanical engineering standards, and other trades
  • Expert understanding of the construction process and interpretation of construction drawings
  • Expert knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
  • Experiencing managing and assisting in managing project teams

Benefits

  • Salary Range: $100,000 - $135,000
  • This role is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus
