The Associate Managing Consultant – Advisors & Consulting Services (S&T) – Credit Risk Management Focus Services within Mastercard is dedicated to acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. Our team combines traditional management consulting with Mastercard's rich data assets, proprietary platforms, and technologies to provide clients with powerful strategic insights and recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of key client strategies and advise on credit risk client engagements.
- Generate key hypotheses and independently structure credit risk engagements to address client problems.
- Be a resource to others to identify creative and useful analyses to address client problems, synthesize analyses into clear, sound recommendations, and share findings through impactful storylines and slides.
- Show passion for taking responsibility and delivering high-quality results and recommendations to clients.
- Lead credit risk management consulting engagements, support sales and product development/refinement as needed, and focus on knowledge sharing and development of team members.
- Manage definition and development of deliverables to solve client problems, and produce actionable recommendations for clients.
- Demonstrate strong statistical and data analysis skills, including SAS / SQL / data mining skills.
- Clear interest in project delivery with business clients, and intuition for the way that companies make decisions and how credit risk helps address clients’ problems.
- Communicate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing – in English and the local office language(s).
- Create a positive team environment and support collaboration within small teams to produce outstanding deliverables, with a will to win attitude.
- Provide on-the-job training on how to more effectively execute credit risk projects.
- Support opportunities to leverage credit risk capabilities, including identification of cross-sell opportunities.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate or master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- Credit risk management experience, specifically responsible for managing credit risk policy and credit risk strategies at a North American financial institution.
- Knowledge and experience using statistical procedures, segmentation, and financial analytic tools.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing – in English and the local office language(s).
- Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
- Strong knowledge of SAS / SQL / R- or similar analytic coding skills.
- Eligibility to work in the country of which they are applying for a position in, as well as eligibility to apply for travel visas as required by travel needs.
- Ability to travel to client sites on a semi-regular basis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a consulting organization as a consultant.
- MBA or master’s degree with relevant specialization.
