About the role

The Associate Manager, Marketing – Endocrinology (Rare Disease), is a key member of the Marketing team responsible for supporting the development and execution of strategic and tactical initiatives that drive brand performance and organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Brand Lead to execute strategic and tactical marketing plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Support the development and implementation of HCP and patient marketing initiatives across personal, non-personal, digital, and field channels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate customer insights into actionable marketing tactics and support lifecycle management initiatives.
  • Support sales force execution through development and maintenance of promotional materials, training support, and field pull-through initiatives.
  • Monitor brand performance, market trends, and competitive activity, providing recommendations for optimization and continuous improvement.
  • Lead the end-to-end management of promotional materials through Medical, Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance (MAP) review processes.
  • Manage the development, approval, implementation, maintenance, expiration, and retirement of promotional materials.
  • Maintain the product claims library, reference repository, and promotional material inventory.
  • Partner with Marketing Centers of Excellence and agency partners to support digital channel execution, omnichannel initiatives, and content deployment.
  • Lead assigned brand initiatives and tactical projects from planning through execution, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
  • Manage project timelines, stakeholder communications, production schedules, and workflow prioritization.
  • Cook up agency and vendor activities, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and performance expectations.
  • Develop and maintain processes that improve operational efficiency and executional excellence across the brand team.
  • Support management of the product marketing budget, spend tracking, invoice reconciliation, purchase orders, and reporting.
  • Manage vendor onboarding, contracts, and budget-related activities.
  • Partner with Patient Services, Advocacy, Sales, Medical Affairs, and external organizations to support disease awareness, patient identification, and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with company policies, FDA regulations, and applicable industry guidelines.
  • Lead and/or participate in additional projects and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Life Sciences, or related field required.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or related commercial experience.
  • Rare disease experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing promotional review workflows through Medical, Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance processes.
  • Experience with Veeva PromoMats or similar content review systems required.
  • Working knowledge of FDA regulations, OPDP guidance, and pharmaceutical promotional compliance.
  • Demonstrated project management experience with multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Experience managing agencies, vendors, budgets, timelines, and operational processes.
  • Familiarity with CRM and omnichannel marketing platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate insights into action.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

Working Conditions

This is a hybrid role based in Xeris’ Chicago office requiring a minimum of three days per week on-site. On-site requirement may change at management’s discretion. Periodic evening and weekend work may be required. Travel approximately 15–20%.
