Associate Manager, Business Development

As Associate Manager, Business Development, you will work on multiple exciting projects with top-tier game developers, helping to craft original, memorable Super Hero stories and experiences.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Director of Business Development, Operations, Production, and Creative Teams to manage and expand Marvel Games’ footprint through existing relationships and new opportunity development.
• Support the end-to-end deal process for Marvel IP in games, including negotiations, new deal structuring, amendments, and contract execution.
• Evaluate inbound and outbound opportunities for strategic fit and commercial viability.
• Own and maintain internal tracking and reporting for prospective, in-progress, and executed deals, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
• Assist in building data-informed business cases to support Marvel's long-term gaming strategy, collaborating with DGG Strategy & Insights and Finance teams.
• Coordinate with TWDC international teams to support partner success in strategic growth markets through local/regional collaboration and synergy opportunities.

Requirements

• 4 years of experience in business development, licensing, partnerships, strategy, or related functions within games (publisher, developer, platform, agency, or IP holder).
• Strong understanding of the video game industry, including platforms, genres, and F2P, premium, and subscription-based business models.
• Emotional intelligence that drives and builds strong relationships (internal and external) through excellent communication and an empathetic mindset.
• Analytical and framework-oriented mind, with both quantitative (Excel, business models) and qualitative (game genres, trends) skills.
• Passion for Marvel characters and stories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.

Pay

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $87,100 to $116,800 per year. The base pay offered will consider internal equity and may vary based on geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may also be provided as part of the compensation package, along with medical, financial, and other benefits.
