Associate Loss Control Representative
Job Summary
This entry-level Loss Control role supports risk evaluation and loss prevention efforts by reviewing vendor surveys, assessing risk information, and making recommendations to policyholders to reduce losses and strengthen safety programs. The position works closely with underwriters, agents, and insureds to communicate loss control recommendations, determine risk acceptability, assist with developing resources, and ensure accurate reporting and documentation.
Work Location
The position offers a hybrid work schedule. Candidates who are located within 50 miles of a West Bend office location will work a hybrid schedule for collaboration days, team meetings or other in-person events. The position can be based in West Bend or Madison. The internal deadline to apply is 07/09/2026. External applications will be accepted on a rolling basis while the position remains open.
Responsibilities
- Review vendor surveys to ensure accuracy and thoroughness of information provided.
- Make appropriate recommendations to insureds to minimize loss and maintain loss control programs.
- Consult with underwriters to determine account and risk acceptability.
- Aid in the development of resources.
- Communicate loss control programs and recommendations with agents, underwriters, and policyholders.
- Efficiently process appropriate reports and documentation.
Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in insurance, loss control or related field.
- Basic understanding of insurance and/or safety.
- Fluent in Microsoft Office products.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Organizational skills.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Associate’s degree in Loss Control, Safety, Insurance or related field.
- Associate in General Insurance designation INDSP.
Pay and Benefits
The hourly pay for this position is between $26.42-$33.03. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
