About the role
We are seeking an Associate to join our Life Sciences Partnerships team. This role involves generating and closing business opportunities with biopharma partners, supporting them in advancing their research priorities using Flatiron solutions, and driving growth within biopharma accounts.
Responsibilities
- Grow revenue at existing biopharma partners by building new and maintaining existing relationships, pitching solutions, and negotiating commercial terms
- Contribute to Flatiron revenues across the evidence business by developing new business proposals
- Build subject matter expertise on biopharma partners' portfolios and research priorities to identify growth opportunities
- Represent Flatiron's capabilities to advance the research priorities of biopharma partners and facilitate data and analytical onboarding sessions
- Support Flatiron's strategic approach to long-term partnerships with biopharma users of our research offerings
- Support internal Flatiron initiatives and priorities, such as identifying future growth opportunities and optimizing internal ways of working
- Act as the voice of the customer across internal functional groups, influencing go-to-market strategy
Requirements
- A deep understanding of the healthcare industry and an analytical approach to problem-solving
- Strong client management and organizational skills
- An eagerness to drive growth within biopharma accounts
- A B.A. or B.S. in biological sciences, economics, engineering, biostatistics, or a similar field (preferred)
- 2+ years of client-facing experience delivering products, services, or analyses to biopharma companies, or an advanced degree in a biological science, applied health, or business with 1+ years of strategic client engagement/business development experience
- Experience managing project timelines, conducting data analyses, and supporting communication with biopharma clients
- Experience leading/supporting sales of products/services to biopharma, including lead generation, pitching, and contract negotiation
- Experience leading end-to-end sales of products/services, including lead generation, pitching, and contract negotiation
- Exposure to project work in oncology and familiarity with biopharma industry dynamics across stages of drug development cycle/value chain and biopharma org structure
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and develop content expertise in areas like RWE, clinical oncology, and HEOR

- Advanced degree in a biological science, applied health, or business with 1+ years of strategic client engagement/business development experience
- Experience leading/supporting sales of products/services to biopharma, including lead generation, pitching, and contract negotiation
- Exposure to project work using real-world data or evidence

Pay
The salary range for this position is $108,000 - $148,500. The base pay offered may vary depending on the location and other factors.
