Associate IV, Business Development and Structuring

Job Profile

Aid in identifying and researching business development opportunities through market analysis and competitive research.

• Collect and organize data for energy market analysis and competitive research.
• Prepare summaries and reports for review by senior team members.
• Support the Global Business Development team by working with other divisions.
• Develop strategies for structuring customer and project solutions.
• Create and maintain project financial models.
• Contribute to the preparation of business cases supporting customer relationship managers and structuring leads.
• Prepare market forecasts by compiling data from market research, historical results, and industry information.
• Support senior team members in presenting to leadership by providing updated data, exhibits, and backup analysis as needed.
• Develop and maintain Global Business Development team marketing materials.
• Collaborate with the strategic finance team, cost estimating team, and engineering and licensing teams to verify inputs and calculations in project and customer financial models.
• Create presentation materials, including slides, financial analyses, and forecasts, for review by senior team members and leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

  Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum five years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in building or maintaining financial models (including project debt and tax equity).
  • Strong communication skills to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, forecasting, and scenario planning with strong attention to detail.

    Location and Work Site Expectations

    Location: 530 Gaither Road, Rockville, MD. Work Site Expectations: 4 days in office. Travel Expectations: Up to 10% as needed. Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm, Mon-Fri.

    Compensation

    As required by Maryland and other applicable state law, X Energy, LLC (X-energy) lists the expected compensation range for a publicly advertised job opportunity based upon the job requirements (e.g. education/training, experience, skill sets, etc.). Individual candidates who meet the job requirements for the posted position will be offered a salary within this range based on their respective levels of education/training, experience, and other qualifications unique to them. Salary ranges may vary based on the specific office location and region referenced in the posting to take into consideration differences in cost of living and may not be reflective of all regions. Please note that compensation ranges listed for US job postings reflect base salary only and do not include benefits or other incentives. The salary range for this position is: $135,000 - $160,000.
