The Associate IT Operations Engineer position is remote with occasional travel opportunities. This role combines hardware support, infrastructure operations, incident management, and system monitoring in a dynamic environment.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career IT professional to build hands-on experience supporting enterprise technology environments. The role involves troubleshooting issues, maintaining infrastructure, and providing support to end-users across multiple locations.
Responsibilities
- Support daily technology operations by troubleshooting issues, maintaining infrastructure, and assisting users with hardware, software, and network-related needs.
- Provide end-user support for PCs, laptops, retail point-of-sale systems, iPads/iOS devices, printers, VoIP phones, and other technology equipment.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware and software systems.
- Aid with infrastructure support including servers, networking equipment, wireless systems, and connectivity technologies.
- Support Dell and Nutanix server environments, Windows Server platforms, network devices, and manufacturing technology systems.
- Monitor and respond to incidents through the IT helpdesk ticketing system.
- Investigate and resolve alerts from system monitoring platforms while escalating issues when needed.
- Perform routine testing and monitoring of IT systems to support security, reliability, and performance.
- Install software, apply patches, and assist with system updates across workstations, servers, and network devices.
- Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and technical procedures.
- Participate in after-hours, weekend, and holiday on-call rotations as required.
- Support IT planning, implementation, and administration activities across various technology functions.
Requirements
- Foundational IT support experience and strong troubleshooting skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 40%.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Up to two years of experience and/or training in IT support or related technical roles.
- Familiarity with computer hardware, software systems, networking concepts, and end-user technology.
- Basic knowledge of network troubleshooting, including Ethernet and fiber optic connectivity.
- Experience with system monitoring tools is a plus.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues effectively.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to support internal users and collaborate with technical teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow established IT procedures.
- Comfortable performing physical tasks such as equipment installation, lifting up to 50 pounds, and moving through operational environments.
- Flexibility to participate in on-call support schedules.
- Ability to meet required licensing and background check requirements.
