About the role
The Associate IPS Planning Engineer will primarily handle tasks such as simulating surgeries, designing medical products, and collaborating with various departments. The role requires strong communication skills, proficiency in 3D modeling software, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Learn and demonstrate knowledge of the complete product range of Individual Patient Solutions
- Communicate technical and engineering knowledge to customers via phone calls, web meetings, and other meetings
- Complete engineering tasks for IPS cases
- Simulate surgical procedures and visualize pertinent information on web meetings
- Design and execute tests to verify and validate product performance, reliability, and usability
- Participate in the creation and maintenance of patient-specific case files
- Collaborate and coordinate between production, sales, marketing, and product management teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Bioengineering, Biomedical) or a comparable technical/medical field
- Prior experience with 3D modeling software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of KLS Martin's quality and safety policies and procedures
- Ability to learn new software quickly
- Customer support skills
- Able to work independently under minimal supervision
- Able to communicate and collaborate with internal and external teams
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
