About the role
The Associate, Investor Relations - Global Private Wealth (Internal Wholesaler) is part of the Investor Relations Team responsible for the fundraising activities of the Firm. This role focuses on the distribution of HarbourVest products to the private wealth channel in the US, Canada, and Latin America.
Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between External Wholesalers and financial advisors
- Be the point of contact for financial advisors to improve sales efforts and deepen existing relationships
- Lead business meeting follow-up activities with prospective and existing advisors, ensuring maintenance of meeting/call notes in CRM
- Understand complex alternative investment capabilities across private and registered investment vehicles and effectively communicate them to prospective clients in a clear and articulate manner, both verbally and in writing
- Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape across investment strategies, private and regulated investment vehicles, and relevant private wealth platforms
- Communicate effectively with other team members and leaders to ensure a high degree of transparency and collaboration
- Represent the firm with a strong presence that instills trust and confidence
- Other responsibilities as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of related industry experience preferred
- FINRA Series 7 & 63 licenses required, and alternative investments experience preferred
- Strong proficiency in: MS Word, Excel, and CRM management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter and demonstrates a passion for sales
- Strong knowledge of Capital Markets
- Organizational skills; ability to prioritize targets and handle a busy calendar of client meetings
- Teammate that can work collaboratively across sales, product, and other functional areas
- Ability to travel
Qualifications
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
