Associate, Investor Relations (Energy)

About the role

This role is focused on executing Investor Relations strategies, servicing the investor base, capital raising for Brookfield’s Renewable Power & Transition strategies, and contributing to content creation and thought leadership across product offerings. The position involves managing relationships with colleagues and senior management to implement IR strategies, building awareness among institutional and retail shareholders, maintaining positive stakeholder relations, and enhancing the investor base.

Responsibilities

• Communicate directly with investors and internal stakeholders to fulfill investor queries (RFI, RFP, DDQ, ad-hoc requests) using internal and external resources
• Monitor and track renewables and transition market activity, key industry trends, and competitive intelligence
• Coordinate and manage preparation and dissemination of IR materials, internal communications for major transactions, and capital raising initiatives
• Coordinate and prepare quarterly conference calls/webcasts with private fund investors
• Coordinate road shows, conferences, investor meetings, and asset tours
• Create bespoke materials such as deep-dive presentations on emerging technologies, portfolio company updates, or Brookfield’s capabilities
• Work with peers across Brookfield platforms to identify best practices for quality and consistency of IR materials
• Assist with strategic initiatives across other IR functions within the Renewable Power & Transition group
• Plan and coordinate special projects and events, including the Annual Brookfield Global Investor Conference
• Support other various investor relations initiatives as required

Qualifications / Requirements

• 3–4 years of relevant work experience with an undergraduate degree preferably in finance, business, or economics; solid understanding of and interest in financial markets and the renewable energy sector
• Preference for working toward or completion of a professional designation (CPA/CA; CFA)
• Strong understanding of private equity investment structures and key financial topics; familiarity with institutional investors
• Ability to translate financial topics into concise, clear messaging
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with experience interacting across organizational levels
• Self-motivated, proactive, and demonstrates initiative
• Advanced quantitative and analytical abilities
• Strong organizational skills and extreme attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle confidential and non-routine information
• Team player able to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple competing tasks

Pay

Base salary range: $125,000 – $140,000. Compensation includes a base salary plus a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation varies by geography to reflect local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Decisions are based on experience, years of experience, industry background, education, and designations.
