About the role
The Associate will work on real estate secondary acquisitions with a focus on GP-led recapitalizations and other structured solutions including preferred equity opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Performing complex financial analysis and valuations
- Conducting market research
- Assisting with due diligence
- Writing investment committee memoranda and presenting investment recommendations
- Working closely with junior and senior team members, senior management, Brookfield affiliates, and investors
- Participating in the asset management responsibilities for Brookfield’s existing portfolio including financings and asset dispositions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in investment banking, M&A, real estate investing, and/or private equity
- Exceptional analytical, financial modeling, and valuation skills
- Attention to detail and ability to learn quickly
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to interact with high-level stakeholders at Brookfield and within portfolio companies with limited supervision
- Proficiency in full suite of Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
