Associate, Investments

About the role

The Associate will work on real estate secondary acquisitions with a focus on GP-led recapitalizations and other structured solutions including preferred equity opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Performing complex financial analysis and valuations
• Conducting market research
• Assisting with due diligence
• Writing investment committee memoranda and presenting investment recommendations
• Working closely with junior and senior team members, senior management, Brookfield affiliates, and investors
• Participating in the asset management responsibilities for Brookfield’s existing portfolio including financings and asset dispositions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in investment banking, M&A, real estate investing, and/or private equity
• Exceptional analytical, financial modeling, and valuation skills
• Attention to detail and ability to learn quickly
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to interact with high-level stakeholders at Brookfield and within portfolio companies with limited supervision
• Proficiency in full suite of Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
